I didn't get the other palette, It has pinkier tones, I do like color pink but maybe the warmer tones may not work on me, I remember when I had the Majewel eyeshadow, the pink looked bruised on me, it just didn't work at all so I am staying safe for choosing this purple palette.
The eye palette reminds me abit of my organiser/calender I got free with my purchase from Instyle magazine with an elastic band to secure the palette.

All the colors have shimmers in them and I expected the size to be a little more bigger. I am seeing more paper back carded palettes from Majolica majorca now. I just love the sparkling eye gloss and I will write more once I get to play with these abit more.

I don't own that much on the trick on range, I have a few eyeshadows and thats it. You got to try this Blair... I am in Love with this eye gloss..lol
The MM book looks sooooo pretty, I'm afraid I will just want to set it there and watch it instead of using it.haha^0^
They look beautiful sparkly (but not too much) colours. I'm really into light pastiles which arn't too overpowering at the moment so this is appealing!
